She was born at the Clinique Saint Jean, Brussels, Belgium〔La Libre, (Article ) (''French'') announcing Laetitia Maria's birth〕 and is currently Ninth in line to the Belgian throne. ==Family== All of her grandparents and great-grandparents are royal or noble; she descends from the Austrian, Belgian, Italian, Swedish, French, Danish, British, Portuguese, Spanish and German royal families. Through her maternal grandmother Queen Paola she also descends from a number of prominent Italian noble families. She has two older brothers, Amedeo (b. 1986) and Prince Joachim of Belgium, Archduke of Austria-Este are royal or noble; she descends from the Austrian, Belgian, Italian, Swedish, French, Danish, British, Portuguese, Spanish and German royal families. Through her maternal grandmother Queen Paola she also descends from a number of prominent Italian noble families. She has two older brothers, Amedeo (b. 1986) and Joachim (b. 1991), who is also her godfather, and two older sisters: Maria Laura (b. 1988) and Luisa Maria (b. 1995). She is currently being educated at Sint-Jan-Berchmans School in Brussels - as most young members of the royal family are.
